Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission
The Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission (the Commission) is an independent statutory authority established under the Legal Aid Act 1990 to provide legal assistance to the community.
The Attorney-General’s Department is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Chairperson on the Commission.
To be eligible for appointment as Chairperson, applicants must either be a Judge of the Supreme Court or Local Court, or a legal practitioner who has been admitted to practice for at least five years.
Appointments are for up to three years and may be renewed. The Chairperson receives a daily sitting fee for their participation in official duties.
