Oodles Therapy is an emerging allied health private practice based on Jawoyn land in Katherine in the Northern Territory. Currently comprising of occupational therapy and speech pathology services, Oodles Therapy is a clinic-based service, however, also engages with clients in community settings such as schools, homes, and workplaces.

What’s the role?
- Engage in psychology specific assessments for the purpose of diagnosis of intellectual disability, FASD, ASD, ADHD, cognitive decline, functional capacity, and other psychosocial conditions
- Provide ongoing therapeutic supports within a transdisciplinary team for clients across the lifespan (heavy focus on paediatrics and adolescents)
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, families, team members and other key stakeholders
- Utilise a strengths-based, client centred approach to support a client to identify their goals
- Provide high quality, meaningful and culturally safe services to clients
Is this the right role for you?
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience with complex client populations, including those with intellectual disabilities, FASD, ASD and trauma histories.
- Experience with administering a range of psychology specific assessments
- Experience working with families, groups and individuals with a range of therapeutic approaches such as DBT/DBT-A, CBT, ACT and EMDR.
- Experience supporting individuals involved in juvenile or criminal justice systems is highly regarded
- Current driver’s license, Ochre Card (NT Working with Children’s Check), Police Check (to be completed by Oodles Therapy with your permission)
- Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check (to be completed by Oodles Therapy with your permission)
- Commitment to providing allied health services in remote areas, including willingness to relocate/live in Katherine, NT
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
