The OpportunityÂ
Â
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) role is an exciting opportunity for a junior project manager looking to take the next step in their career and to learn from the best in the market to grow their Project Management CV. The APM will work on a variety of impressive Defence and nuclear related projects and be mentored and supported by a team of industry specialists.Â
Â
The role will support Project Managers and Design Managers with project management tasks, delivery control, project audits and overall project quality control. Another key element of the role will involve assisting with tender submissions, including drafting technical content, coordinating document production, transmittal of documents and maintaining upcoming project management and design services pursuit registers.Â

Other key responsibilities include;Â
Â
Coordinate proposal development activities with Sales and admin support staffÂ
Prepare operational and market sector internal governance reportingÂ
Support internal governance requirements for proposals and projectsÂ
Coordinate market sector business development activitiesÂ
Plan, coordinate and support the conduct of internal and project workshops and other engagementsÂ
Assist the entire team with administrative duties, including, timesheets, travel, accommodation, functions, catering, etcÂ
Assist Project Managers & Design Managers with monitoring the project scope, including regular review of design documents and amendment of design documents to meet the clientâs project brief, budget etcÂ

Who are you?Â
Â
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years post-graduate project management experience working with/for the Department of Defence. Tertiary qualifications in a related field are also preferred (project management, construction management, engineering, architecture). We are looking for someone who wants to further develop their skills whilst building a long term career with KBRâs Defence business.Â
