The Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPICI) in Potsdam Science Park, Germany, is seeking applications for a PhD researcher (m/f/d) in the field of glycan synthesis and analysis. The successful candidate will join the Carbohydrate Materials group led by Dr. Martina Delbianco, collaborating closely with Dr. Yu Ogawa’s group. The research focuses on the synthesis of well-defined oligo- and polysaccharides and their structural characterization using advanced analytical techniques.
Requirements
– Degree in chemistry or a closely related field
– Experience in organic synthesis
– Knowledge of supramolecular chemistry
– Experience in carbohydrate chemistry or structural analysis (NMR, TEM, SEM, AFM) is advantageous but not mandatory
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively
– Strong interest in interdisciplinary research
– Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
