Why Catholic Care NT?
CatholicCare NT is a Catholic social service agency established in the Diocese of Darwin. They
provide services throughout the NT, including service centres in Darwin, Palmerston, Malak, Tiwi Islands, Daly River, Wadeye, Jabiru, Maningrida, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Santa Teresa, Titjikala, Finke and APY lands
The Children and Parenting program provides early intervention, preventative services and programs. Using a whole of family approach to resource, educate, support and skill parents to improve developmental and wellbeing outcomes for children and families.
The Youth Enhanced Service (YES) provides a service to advance the extent and quality of care provided to young people at risk of, or who are experiencing mental illness.

What’s the role?
- Responsible for the implementation, leadership and integration of the following programs: Counselling, Children and Parenting and Youth Enhanced Services
- This position has a particular focus on leading and mentoring program staff, applying professional knowledge and support whilst providing direct services and managing complex client work.
Is this the right role for you?
- Relevant qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Community Services or Social Work (or related field) with a minimum two years' experience in relevant practice and team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report and case note writing
- Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people
- Application of a high level of discipline knowledge
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
